Revolver receive two nominations for the 2012 Guardian First Film Award
Revolver are proud to announce arthouse hits SNOWTOWN and SLEEPING BEAUTY have both been nominated for the Guardian First Film Award 2012.
The Guardian Newspaper's respected film team including critics Peter Bradshaw, Xan Brooks and Catherine Shoard have selected only ten debut films from the past year for the coveted award. The same team will also announce the winner in the coming weeks.
International Film Festival favourites and both opening to critical acclaim in Autumn 2011, SNOWTOWN and SLEEPING BEAUTY were both well received and widely appreciated by critics and audiences alike.
SNOWTOWN director Justin Kurzel has previously taken accolades for the film winning prizes at the 2011 Cannes, Chicago International and Marrakech International Film Festivals. First time director Julia Leigh's SLEEPING BEAUTY is presented by Academy Award Winner Jane Campion.
