Revolver wins Best In Show at Social Buzz Awards
Revolver Entertainment came away from last night's inaugural Social Buzz Awards with the highest honour, winning both THE GRAND PRIX (Best In Show) and BEST INTERGRATED CAMPAIGN AWARD for the box office hit "Anuvahood."
The Social Buzz Awards recognises the most original and cutting edge social media campaigns across all industries over the past twelve months. Revolverfought off strong competition with both the GRAND PRIX and BEST INTERGRATED CAMPAIGN awards, including nominations for The Walt Disney Company, Sony UK, Heineken, Nokia and the BBC.
The Social Buzz panel rewarded Revolver's in house marketing team for their innovative long lead strategy that began at the film's inception, and continued throughout production onto the subsequent Theatrical and Home Entertainmentreleases. This encompassed an interactive You Tube website, a content-led Facebook campaign, effective use of Twitter and the world's first cross platform phone app (available for IPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices), all linked through a traditional HTML website www.anuvahood.com
The panel this year is represented by digital industry leaders such as Alistair Cox (Google Creative Services), Chris Jones (Social Media – BBC), Dave Coplin (Microsoft).
Talking about the Grand Prix winner, Chairman of the judging Panel Paul Fabretti from Brazen PR said of Revolver’s win: "whilst there were many, many outstanding entries, one particular entry demonstrated a wonderful understanding of not only their audience, but the incredible power of their content and how to make most effective use of it in the channels in which their audience lives.
