Big River Man is in London

Next week sees the arrival of the Big River Man himself Martin Strel!! He’ll be in London for a number of special screenings of his film, which opens in cinemas on September 4th, where he’ll be speaking in Q&A sessions about his amazing Amazon adventure. Check out the trailer for Big River Man here, and you’ll see that he’s a personality that shouldn’t be missed:

Over weight and over 50 years old, Martin Strel breaks the Guinness Book of Records with what can only be described as the longest, most dangerous swim in history. Strel battles through gangs, unexposed tribes, crocodiles, toxic waste, lethal whirlpools and deadly piranhas during his historic
3,375 mile swim through the Amazon - drinking no less than 2 bottles of wine whilst still swimming!

Director John Maringouin captures the many dimensions of Strel's journeyfrom his strained working relationship with his son to his ultimate aspiration of contributing to a cleaner, greener world.
